A year at Landlord Broadband
2020, what a year! While there has undoubtedly been many-a-hiccup in the past year, we’ve continued to provide managed broadband services across the UK. A lot has happened at Landlord Broadband in the past year, and we’re proud of our hard-working team for producing better-than-ever work and supporting one another through the last year. This is our 2020, in review:
Engagement
Here at Landlord Broadband, we do all we can to keep engaged with the industry, to learn more about advancements within the field, and to connect with others in the business! Despite going remote for most of this year, it hasn’t stopped us from attending a range of events to further our knowledge and constantly improve. In January, our Business Development Manager attended the Platinum Property Partners event and gave a very interesting presentation about why Wi-Fi is now seen as a fourth essential utility. From then on, we’ve attended countless online webinars, about everything from real-estate to marketing, to broadband itself. We believe it’s never too late to learn more and that’s exactly what we’ve been doing.
Infrastructure
We’re not sure if you’ve noticed (we have!) but our website and socials have had a real facelift in 2020! Firstly, we had a new banner designed for our social media. This drastically improved our profiles and went on to be adapted for our website and Property Tribes Forum! As well as this, our team created an FAQ’s page, to give a little extra help to anybody who needs it, as we know better than anybody how complicated Wi-Fi can be.
We have also published a range of articles to keep people across all sectors up-to-date with what we, and the industry, were doing. Our highlight, however, is the glowing reviews received throughout the year from happy customers. We love providing people with a fast, reliable connection and a hassle-free managed broadband service. And, we love hearing that customers are happy with our product!

As Wi-Fi became indispensable in people’s daily lives, our managed broadband services played a big part in keeping people connected. During the Spring lockdown, our team banded together to lift spirits in a number of ways. Our favourite was the 5-5-5 challenge, where people cycled, walked, or ran 5km or more, donated £5 to the NHS, and nominated 5 people to do the same! We also baked loads of cakes, went on a lot of dog walks, donated to help our local NHS heroes in York. This was all whilst our operations team and engineers worked hard to complete our bespoke Wi-Fi designs for your properties. And, installed them as soon as it was safe.
Team-Building
During 2020, although we’ve said goodbye to some valued team members after some amazing work with us, we’ve also introduced some now invaluable people! This is definitely a highlight for us all; we love meeting new people, seeing them develop skills and become part of our team.
Looking forward into 2021
Going into 2021, we’ve got loads to look forward to, with some really interesting developments in our projections. On 1st January, we launched our Broadband/Wi-Fi Tribe on Property Tribes, which we’re really excited about; there’s plenty of discussion and expert advice to come in that area. Other than that, everything that we have planned is under wraps for now. Watch this space to watch it all unfold!
